Im Sommer 1973 waren Back Door auf einem Karrierehoch, als sie
gerade ihr zweites Album mit dem Cream Produzenten Felix Pappalardi
in den Electric Lady Studios in New York aufgenommen hatten.
Dieses BBC Radio ‚In Concert’ wurde sofort bei ihrer Rückkehr nach
Großbritannien übertragen und wird nun zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht.
Colin Hodgkinson, Ron Aspery und Tony Hicks waren Virtuosen, die
ihre einzigartige Marke des Jazz und Blues Rock an ein größtmögliches
Publikum herantragen wollten. Ebenso wurden sie von den führenden
und stilgebenden DJs dieser Zeit wie Charles Shaar Murray und Alexis
Korner, der diese Aufführung veranstaltete, unterstützt.
